The horseshoe artist

For some it is a lucky charm, for others it is a curved U-shaped iron to protect the hoof. For me, the horseshoe is a fascinating starting material from which my artworks are created.

My name is Sascha Exenberger and I make horseshoe art.

All large sculptures that you see on my homepage were commissioned works.

First and foremost, I make horse sculptures in all gaits and positions. In the meantime, you will also find many other animal sculptures in my portfolio, e.g. lions, deer, ibex etc.

Heraldic animals and mythical creatures, especially the Styrian panther, have been my passion for a number of years.

When producing a large sculpture, I work very closely with the client, I orient myself very much on the images that the client provides me with.

My art workshop

My workshop is in St. Kathrein am Offenegg in Styria / Austria.

I am lucky enough to live and work here at a thousand meters above sea level in the heart of the Styrian foothills of the Alps.

Originally coming from Salzburg, I have found my new home here.

As a one-man company, I make all the work, from the horseshoe flower to the Styrian panther, exclusively by hand.
